Xplore was the first to deliver a rugged tablet with a top handle, and among the first to integrate customizable buttons. We’ve also spent 20+ years working diligently with end-users to refine Glove touch, active pen (not stylus), voice and video data inputs; develop custom carry solutions like the Kickstrap; and design customizable mounting systems for nearly every vehicle, office or field setup you could imagine.
You need power and performance. That’s why we use damage-resistant spring-loaded “pogo” style pins that maintain electrical connections even in a moving truck. We also customize our tablets all the way down to the BIOS, or even the OS level, in both Windows and Android – for all customers, not just large ones.
When designing a tablet, only Xplore defines the location of the antennas first to ensure ideal performance. Then we ensure that other electronics don't interfere. We were also one of the first mobile device manufacturers to use MIMO antenna systems to improve signal strength in areas with otherwise poor reception.
Xplore was the first to offer up to eight standard built-in I/O ports on a single rugged tablet. We even seal many of them from the inside to ensure the HDMI-in, USB or True Serial Port connection remains stable for those working outside, even during extreme weather events.
We offer a true C1D2/ATEX certified mobile computing solution for those working in Hazardous Locations. We also prevent distracted driving by partnering with Blank-It, and other whitelist application providers, to minimize mobile interactions on the road.
Xplore’s large screen rugged tablet displays are among the brightest in their class – if not the brightest. They are also dimmable, glare-free and night vision compatible. And, we were the first mobile device manufacturer to use Corning Gorilla Glass (long before iPad/iPhones came along).
